It has come to our attention that there is an issue with claims/adjustments with a "W" in the tape to tape field. We recommend that you refrain from adjusting any claims/adjustments with a "W" in the tape to tape field until further notice. Please see Claims Payments Issues for more information.

 

Electronic Remittance

 

Are you still receiving paper remittance advices? WPS would like to inform providers of an expedited process for receiving information regarding their Medicare payments. The Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) is Medicare's preferred method for relaying this information to providers. With the proper software capability, an ERA file created by Medicare can be automatically posted to your accounts receivable system. Once the ERA is in place, the payment posting process is more efficient and accurate. You can find more information on ERA on the EDI website or you can contact the EDI department at (866) 518-3285 (J5) or (866) 234-7331 (J8).
